Job Description

We have positions available for junior and senior presales engineers to provide technical support to the sales process. Responsibilities include visiting customers for sales meetings and on-site evaluations, training resellers, assisting with technical product marketing materials, and providing some post-sales support.

Required and Desirable Skills

Technical Skills

While attending sales meetings with our sales people, your role will be to understand the customer's technical situation, challenges and needs, and help the sales person to translate these to appropriate solutions. When on-site evaluations are required, you will provide on-site technical assistance to the customer during the evaluation. To be successful in this role, you need a thorough understanding of and hands-on experience with the following:

• HPC clusters in general;
• key HPC cluster technologies, such as MPI, workload managers and InfiniBand;
• Linux in general;
• specific software technologies, such as PXE, NFS, LDAP, Ethernet, Bash;
• general Linux trouble-shooting skills;
• server technologies, such as CPU, memory, disk, BIOS, Ethernet switches, SCSI, DAS/NAS/SAN.

Experience with parallel file systems and GPU computing would be beneficial.

Commercial Skills

Since your role is part of the sales team and you have a major contribution to the sales process, affinity with and interest in the sales process is essential. The following skills are required:

• basic understanding of the sales process;
• effective presenting skills.
