Cluster Management Shell
The cluster management shell is the command-line interface to the Cluster Management Daemon (CMDaemon) in Bright Cluster Manager®.
Through the cluster management shell, an administrator has full control over the cluster.
Like the cluster management GUI, the cluster management shell communicates with the CMDaemon over encrypted connections. The cluster management shell operates as a fully functional shell environment. It supports tab completion, it allows execution of system commands and it is fully scriptable.
The screenshot below shows an example of a cluster management shell session:

“We have tried many different cluster management solutions in the past. We found Bright Cluster Manager to have a well integrated centralized management interface which is powerful and flexible enough to accommodate our specific configuration requirements.” “For example, we like to setup our clusters with specific network configurations. Unlike previously used solutions, with Bright Cluster Manager this was very easy to configure through the intuitive GUI or the powerful command line shell.” — Dr Ioannis Konstantinidis, Research Development Officer at the University of Houston
