Bright Cluster Manager Named Winner of "Best of Show Award" at Bio-IT World

Bright Computing recognized for "exceptional innovation in technologies used by life-sciences professionals"

Boston, Massachusetts Bright Cluster Manager® has been named the winner of the “IT Hardware & Infrastructure” category of the “Best of Show Award” program at this week’s Bio-IT World Conference & Expo’13 in Boston. The award recognizes exceptional innovation in technologies for life-sciences professionals. Bright enables organizations to easily extend their on-premise compute resources into the cloud to rapidly gain compute capacity, or to quickly create a cloud-based cluster on the fly. In either scenario, cloud resources can be accessed, provisioned, scheduled, monitored and managed with minimal effort, and without the need for cloud-computing expertise. Bright allows researchers to focus on their science, not systems and cluster management.

Bright Cluster Manager received the highest accolades in a field of over 25 entrants. The judging panel was comprised of Bio-IT World editors plus industry representatives from the international life sciences community.

“I am delighted to accept the Bio-IT World “Best of Show Award“ on behalf of Bright Computing” stated senior vice-president of worldwide sales, David Maples. “Bright Cluster Manager extended its industry-leading solution for cluster management into the cloud. In just over one year, we have been delighted by the uptake of this new capability by Bright prospects as well as by existing Bright customers. Of course, the “Best of Show Award“ validates Bright’s innovation efforts. However, this award also underscores the value of delivering a single pane of glass into IT operations across all physical, virtual and cloud nodes for Bright’s life sciences customers.”
