With Bright 8.0, we’ve made it easier than ever for you to create and manage your Linux-based clusters and OpenStack private clouds more efficiently and effectively.
Bright View – The most visible change in 8.0 is the all-new, designed from the ground up, web-based administrator's interface. It features a slick new workflow, and now you can keep tabs on your cluster from any web-based device, including a tablet.
Azure – Now you can take advantage of Bright's Cluster on Demand feature to create virtual clusters in Azure, and extend your on-premises cluster into Azure using Bright's Cluster Extension capability. 8.0 can scale nodes up and down in Azure based on workload.
Ubuntu – In addition to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CENTOS, Scientific Linux, Bright now manages clusters running Ubuntu Server Long Term support (16.04 LTS).
OpenStack Newton – Bright OpenStack 8.0 features improved logging of OpenStack events, performance improvements, and Ironic support for deployment of instances on bare metal.
Mesos & Marathon – This release integrates with Mesos and Marathon, providing a streamlined setup process, health checks, service management, and more.
