Introducing our Hadoop Series of Vodcasts

    

Don’t worry if you missed the unveiling of the latest version of Bright Cluster Manager for Apache Hadoop at this month’s Hadoop Summit in San Jose. Bright Computing’s own Ian Lumb has put together a series of short Vodcasts in which he details the updates to Bright Cluster Manager for Apache Hadoop in version 7.1.

In Part I of the series, Ian takes us through what makes Bright Cluster Manager for Apache Hadoop unique in the Big Data Analytics marketplace, as well as some of the key features announced in version 7.1. Learn how Bright Cluster Manager for Apache Hadoop allows you to choose what makes sense for your needs - it doesn’t dictate, constrain or otherwise limit your choices.

In Part II of the series, we’ll be detailing the various services and components the Bright Cluster Manager for Apache Hadoop is integrated with. We’ll also dig deep into specific key enhancements in version 7.1 that are especially important such as: enhanced support for Spark, Hive, and Sqoop/Sqoop2; enhanced security in HDFS; and advanced flexibility for configuring services and interaction using overlayed roles.
