We have a position available for a quality assurance engineer to join our QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating our Linux-based cluster management product and making sure that our product meets the highest quality standards. Your goal is to make sure that the end-user has the best possible experience using our product.
You will work closely with the development team to make sure that issues are being addressed adequately. Also, you will provide feedback and suggestions to the development team to help them improve the end-user experience.
In addition, you will be able to participate in the development and maintenance of our automated test suite, and will take part in conducting various types of scalability testing.
There will be ample opportunity to develop your skills and to take initiative. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest hardware (e.g. GPUs, FPGAs, accelerators, high-speed interconnects such as InfiniBand, Omni Path and 100 Gig-E) and software technologies such as parallel filesystems (e.g. Lustre, GPFS, BeeGFS, WekaIO), Spark, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Open vSwitch and Ceph. You will also become an expert in the area of large scale cluster management.
You have excellent analytical skills and have a good understanding of the entire software development process. You have a good understanding of how software works internally and have a talent for discovering ways to break it.
You are familiar with Perl, Python and Unix shell programming. Furthermore, you possess excellent problem solving skills and you are eager to learn and use new technologies.
Background in high performance computing and system administration would be an advantage. Experience with Jenkins, formal testing methods and software tools would be beneficial, but is not strictly necessary.
Our cluster management software is based on Linux. You should be proficient with the Linux operating system and the command-line interface. In addition, you are familiar with the most common software that is part of a typical Linux installation.
