San Jose, California — Bright Computing, the leading provider of vendor-independent cluster and cloud management software, announces that it is significantly expanding its global network of channel partners, local resellers, local system integrators, as well as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The relationships are leading to collaborations resulting in increased business opportunities in its core Western, Central and Eastern European markets, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa. From an initial focus on its core high-performance computing (HPC) management software, Bright is now providing a full range of solutions, including big data and private cloud deployment and management products.

“With the huge diversity of languages, cultures, and legal requirements found in my region, local resellers as well as local, regional and global system integrator partners are an invaluable part of the business ecosystem,” said Lee Carter, Bright’s Vice President of EMEA, Russia, and CIS. “Using Bright’s trusted and proven technology, our partners can focus their efforts on tailoring a system to integrate within the customer’s environment or customize it to deliver the functionality, services, and capabilities the customer requires.”

Bright is also focused on building close relationships with original equipment providers, which allows both parties to offer joint customers an excellent out-of-the-box experience. Says Carter, “Bright values its relationship with its OEM partners. We add value to them by giving them the opportunity to provide their solutions along with our complementary, enterprise-grade, proven solutions for running clustered environments. We also offer a high level of support for their customers, allowing them to scale up their business without scaling up their support capabilities.”

Working in conjunction with an integrator partner and a key OEM partner, Bright recently deployed a large supercomputing environment for a major Middle East oil company. The smooth deployment, which ranks among the top-30 in the world, provided the company with Bright’s latest technology and was set up well ahead of schedule.

French industrial simulations company EURO/CFD recently deployed Bright technology as part of its pioneering new HPC infrastructure, which was delivered by France-based Bright partner transtec. Working together with a partner enabled Bright to refresh EURO/CFD’s entire environment, providing a new platform on which they can productively run their business while minimizing any disruptions.

At Denmark’s Center for Biological Sequence-Analysis, Bright deployed the largest supercomputer on the planet dedicated to life science and genomics research, with 16,000 cores and more than 500 compute nodes. Bright also recently collaborated with Bull (now an Atos company), a leading player in cloud, cybersecurity, and big data, and the European leader in high-performance computing, on a deployment for the Maritime Research Institute (MARIN) in the Netherlands to expand their cluster, increasing their capacity and ensuring high availability - without the need for additional IT personnel.

With the new enhanced level of local partnerships, Bright is growing its footprint with a range of customers in finance, life sciences, and pharmaceutical industries across the Region. “The business opportunity in these new verticals is phenomenal, but with 128 countries, 24 accepted languages in the European Union alone, as well as 14 time zones, and over 2 billion people across the Region, we have found local partnerships to be absolutely vital in reaching our potential market and extending our business” said Carter.
