Bright Partner June Update

Welcome to our second Partner Update of 2021. Here at Bright, we continue to see strong signs that things are turning around in the industry despite the ongoing Pandemic. We extend a heartfelt thanks to all of you, our partners, for pressing on and continuing to support our joint efforts. The Bright Reseller community goes from strength to strength with the following companies recently joining:

We have also been hard at work updating and refreshing our training courses. Be sure to stop by training.brightcomputing.com and check out the latest updates to the Bright 101 and Installation sections of the Bright Cluster Manager Basic Administration training module. These new sections provide the foundation for the Bright Cluster Manager training series. They provide a high-level solution overview, describe common networking scenarios, and how Bright manages networks and defines terms and concepts. The trainings are free, so please stop by and check them out!

In case you missed it in the news, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) selected Bright Cluster Manager to manage the research and development lab’s newest clustered environment. This environment was deployed in late 2019 and became fully operational in January of 2020. JPL utilized this environment’s new capabilities to perform crucial trajectory calculations and entry descent landing calculations for the recent Mars 2020 Perseverance Mission. This mission is part of NASA’s Mars Exploration Program, a long-term effort of robotic exploration of the Red Planet that will address high-priority science goals while answering key Astrobiology questions about potential life on Mars. A common theme for Bright this year is sharing with our community how Bright helps unify HPC infrastructure from Edge-to-Core-to-Cloud. Bill Wagner recently wrote a thought leadership piece on this topic, which was featured in InsideHPC.

In this article, Bill discusses how changes in HPC are demanding that businesses unify their HPC resources from edge to core to cloud and also the role Bright plays in accomplishing that goal. Bill also talks about this topic is more detail in this webinar done at the end of last year. Please reach out to us if you have any comments on this topic or any industry developments.

As we press further into Q2, we want to remind you that Bright has curated a variety of content to compliment the release of Bright Cluster Manager 9.1 and introduce these new features to our partners and customers. All the very best,

The Bright Team
